How to Bake and Decorate a Gingerbread House
MEJO 484: Information Graphics
For the second project in MEJO 484, Information Graphics, we were assigned to create an info graphic which served as a tutorial. For my graphic, I decided on creating a tutorial for baking and decorating gingerbread houses.
I wanted to incorporate both vector work and more simplistic icons and wireframes in order to create balance and display a variety of skill through the info graphic. I also wanted to bring in a personal connection since baking and decorating gingerbread houses is a long-standing tradition for my family; therefore, I decided to incorporate a wireframe of a photo of me decorating a gingerbread house as a child. I also wanted to bring in a connection to social media because I have seen through there that this is a tradition for many families, so I opted to include "#GingerbreadHouse" and explain the tradition and social media presence.
